Check eddiesmith.com for up-dates

We have had many people ask how they can stay up-dated on what's been unfolding in our lives the past few days. Eddie's web-site www.eddiesmith.com is where we are referring people to.....as we get news we will post it. Thanks so much for your support and prayers. We feel so loved through this valley.

Easter Egg Hunt!

Selah got to go on an Easter egg hunt in our front yard, and she absolutely loved it! I thought I was done blogging for the day, but I couldn't resist posting these......it was just fun to watch her have such a good time!

Happy Easter!

Selah with her friend Iliana at church...precious

Enjoying the sunshine....
notice that she's taken off her socks and put her shoes back on backwards

Eddie's dad, stepmom, and grandma came for a couple of days and spent Easter with us. It was wonderful to have them, but now am realizing that in the short two days they were here I did not take any pictures of them at all.......how horrible is that? Trent, Deana, and Mary it was such a blessing to celebrate Easter with you.....thank you so much for coming, and I'm so sorry I slacked off on my job of picture taking...

Potty Training....in the parking lot :)

What parents won't do :) We've been working with Selah on potty training for about two weeks, and she is almost done! She has stayed completely dry the last two days....AND she tells us when she has to go potty!!! It's a dream come true!! We were able to throw out all the diapers....what a great feeling! Anyway when we go somewhere we sometimes stick the potty in the back and when we reach our destination we ask if Selah has to go potty....if she does then we whip it out and let her potty.....even in a parking lot :)

She did not like this!!

Nana got to come to visit for a few days and Selah was so excited!! Her and Nana got to spend a day out on their own, and Selah thought that was a lot of fun. What Selah did NOT like was when I suggested Nana paint Selah's toenails. She had been admiring Nana's all day, and I thought it would be a treat for Selah to have toenails like Nana's....boy was I wrong!! The picture says it all!...and Nana, I am sooo sorry I cut your head off!!!

Princess Tunnel

Selah was so excited when Eddie brought home a surprise for her that was sent from Grandma and Grandpa R.....she opened it up and discovered.....a Princess Tunnel!! She LOVES it......in fact when we can't find her anywhere else she's usually in the tunnel :) Thank you Grandma and Grandpa R......what a great surprise!

Sick...yuck!

Selah is really sick....it started out as croup but I think the steroids cleared that up....now she is sneezing, coughing, horrible runny nose, low grade fever........you can tell she feels absolutely awful! So pray that she will get better...I'm really hoping it's not the flu...what are the symptoms of the flu? Honestly none of our family has ever had it that I know of.....so I'm a little ignorant of what to look for...

The Zoo

This past Saturday was a beautiful day so Eddie and I decided to use the free passes to the zoo some good friends had given us and go spend the day at the zoo! What's funny as I was looking through these pics is that I don't have many of Selah actually looking at the animals...in fact all the ones I'm posting are us on the zoo playground....but I promise we really did go to the zoo and see lots of "epephents" as Selah would say!

Selah was looking at the chickens as I was taking this pic...the zoo has a little petting area which Selah loved!

She loves to ride on these things!!

Birthday Party

Selah and I (MM) were able to go to a birthday party this afternoon for a little girl who turned four....we both had a lot of fun, and I got some adorable pictures of Selah enjoying the party!

The Birthday girl!

I've never seen anything like this before, but these were so good and very impressive just to look at..strawberry marshmallows, chocolate icing, and lots of sprinkles....easy enough that even I could make them :)

Sooo cute! The party was during her naptime so I think she was trying to rest a little while waiting for her pizza

Not sure what in the world she's doing here, but it's still cute

All done....check out her face...she enjoyed every bite of the sweets!

Buddies

Selah and Iliana are buddies...no doubt! Check these pictures out....they are both laughing so hard although in one picture it looks like Iliana is crying...oh yeah..and see if you can see what Selah's "agenda" was in these pictures (hint: look where her feet are in every pic)

Mission Accomplished :)

STOP!!! No More Pictures!!!

Toddler class

For the last year Selah and I have participated in a toddler class every Tuesday morning. Not only does Selah have a great time, but she also learns how to incorporate exercise into having fun. They get to play with exercise balls, do obstacle courses, sing songs with motions, play with parachutes, and some other exciting stuff. Here's some pictures of a typical morning at the toddler class.

Running around...what toddler doesn't love this?!

They were singing a song about Beanie Babies doing the Beanie Baby Dance...the song tells you where to put your beanie baby on your body....of course this was the time it was saying to put it on your head....I couldn't believe Selah did that and then stood there for about 2 minutes before she took it off!

Selah giving me a smile at the end of class...I think she had a good time! :)

A Fun Sunday!

Snack before church

Before Eddie, Selah, and I left for SC we went to church with my family and then out to lunch...and then said good-bye...we also got to see Nana, Eddie's mom, but with the wind blowing so hard no one was in the mood for a picture :)

Grandma, Selah, and Grandpa

Wissa and Selah

Selah and Grandpa (she did have shoes on but as usual she took them off...along with her hairbow)

The circus!

Ever since I have been little I have LOVED the circus! Eddie and I have gone several times since we've been married even before Selah was born....I have to admit we felt a little funny going to the circus childless but we always had a great time!

So...this past week-end we took Selah to her first circus....it just happened to fall on the week-end we were celebrating my sister's birthday so we traveled up to NC and my dad, sister, Eddie, Selah, and I went to the circus!

Superbowl!

Selah dressed up in her Colts outfit...hey they almost made it! :)

Last night some of our good friends invited us over for a night of great food and football. We gladly accepted! We all had a blast, but I have to admit two things....I ate WAY too much and yes, I have to admit, I watched only about two seconds of the game. That is not usual for me, because I love football, but ever since the Colts were knocked out of it, I just haven't been that interested in this Superbowl. I am thrilled that the Giants won though!!!! That is awesome!

Selah and Colten hanging out...Selah LOVES Colten...he makes her laugh a lot

Selah, Eddie, and our friends' dog Maggie who Selah is crazy about!

Our friend Jennifer watching Selah hug Maggie...awww! (oops...I cut out Brian...sorry Brian)

Brian and Eddie....they've been friends since high school...don't they kind of look alike?

Ouch!

Right before walking out the door for church yesterday, Selah slammed her head on the corner of the wall. Not good. It scared all of us...especially Selah rightfully so. She did some damage to the wall and a little to her forehead. Although not deep ,Selah now has about a 1/2 " vertical gash on her head. We called the doctor to get the run down on all we needed to do for her. Thankfully she didn't need stitches bu we did have to watch her very closely yesterday as well as wake her up twice last night to make sure she was ok. Today she's acting like herself, but the accident earned her a big band-aid on her head for the next few days.

Selah is NOT a big fan of band-aids

She hit the corner so hard that she knocked off some of the dry wall!!

Daddy's girl

Selah is definitely a daddy's girl.....she loves to follow him around the house and do everything he does.....it's adorable. Eddie is such an incredible daddy, and I'm so excited that Selah and him will always have this special relationship together....in my opinion a girl's relationship with her daddy is one of the most important relationships she will ever have.

I couldn't resist adding this one in....too cute!

These are for you Melissa...

My sister Melissa gets impatient to see new pictures of her neice....I have to say I can't blame her...so Melissa here's a couple random pics of Selah just for you! Enjoy!

Life is great for a 1 year old isn't it?! :)

She did NOT appreciate me taking this pic of her on the potty..."Mommy puh-lease"

A day hanging out with Selah and Iliana

Unlike last Fall, I am now keeping Iliana only on Wednesdays. That makes Wednesdays one of Selah's favorite days I'm sure....Selah gets so excited to see Iliana and Iliana gets so excited to see Selah! It's great to see how little kids develop friendships....it's adorable!

Selah talking on the phone...not sure who she's decided to "call" this time

Iliana feeding her baby....Selah and Iliana both have a common LOVE for dolls....oh yeah...and Iliana did not want to take her coat off so she played in it half the day! :)

Taking a small break from playing in order to flash mommy a smile

Selah "the Mommy"

As many of you know, Eddie and I have been approved to be foster parents. It's something God laid on our hearts almost a year ago, but it took us until last October to begin pursuing it. We are now waiting for THE phone call. It could come anytime telling us that our foster baby is on the way to our house.

We've been talking to Selah quite a bit about the baby and trying to get her as prepared as possible. We have already set up the nursery for the baby, and Selah loves to go in that room and talk about the baby. She's started to take her baby dolls in the nursery and rock them, sing to them, have them go "night, night," and change their diaper. It's adorable! Today I was able to take a few pictures of Selah in the nursery with her baby.

Rocking her baby in my rocker....I LOVE this smile!

Selah said that the baby needed her passi....or boppy as she calls it

Rocking her baby again in her own rocker this time

Blowing a kiss to me!

The new and improved Potty Book

Eddie, Selah, and I spent last week in Indianapolis, and a lot of Selah's time was spent with our friend Tammy Dunn....in fact Tammy to Selah is "Mammy Tammy." Tammy surprised Selah with her very own potty book that has pictures of Selah all through it! It's adorable and Selah loves it!!! Thank you Tammy.....Selah has wanted to read it so many times we have it almost memorized! :) We love it!

Wondering why her picture is on the front of this book

...and on every page

Where's Selah?!

"Snowed in"

A couple of weeks ago I posted some pictures of the snow (and ice) that we got in SC. Due to the fact that it snowed, everything shut down....that's just the way it goes down South. So....we had a few days of staying home. To prevent cabin fever, we watched movies, played with Selah, played games, and ate a lot of food :)

Eddie and I played Jenga one night....it lasted forever....I took this picture thinking it was going to fall very soon and it was several more turns before it did...did I mention that Eddie was the one who finally made it fall? :)

One of Selah's favorite things to do is ask us to draw a picture for her on her Etch-a-sketch (however you spell that :) Anyway one night she kept asking for different animals...Eddie was quite the artist....these pictures cracked me up! Can you guess what each one is?

This one's not that hard....although I love the little stick figure body!

Any ideas?

The tail gives this one away

Love the ears!

Selah went nuts over this one...she loves "horsies"

Sadly enough after this night of drawing her etch-a-sketch had to be thrown away because it was coming apart....thankfully she has not asked for it (yet)!

It Snowed!!!!!

Our prayers were answered....it snowed!!!

This was the first time Selah had ever seen snow, so we were so excited to bundle her up and get her out in the snow.

So....how did she like it? Not as well as we'd hoped :)

All bundled up ready to go in the snow...check out this look on her face..is that mischevious or what?

First impression.....not overly excited....she also was mad that her hand was wet....needless to say she would NOT keep her mittens on

This is the only picture we took that she was smiling...and she was clinging to Eddie's leg the majority of time we were outside

Eddie trying to encourage Selah to walk around in the snow

Not overly excited to be walking through the snow

I am attempting to slide down the hill beside our house on our garbage lid....sadly it didn't work and as you can see Selah thought I was nuts! :)

The joy of eating as a toddler...

She is definitely a little ham! Wonder who she gets this from? :)

Eddie and I are so entertained at times watching Selah eat.

First of all, she absolutely loves food. I guess you could say that she came by that honestly...Eddie and I love to eat :)

Second of all she has the ability to inhale her food.....I truly don't know how she does it, but if she really likes something it is gone in an instant. Eddie and I are having to constantly remind her to chew her food....

The thing that is most entertaining is how she manages to get just about as much food on her as she does in her! Sometimes we let her have dinner just in her diaper so she doesn't ruin all of her clothes. There have been many times that we have taken her straight from the highchair into the bathtub....the picture below is a great example!

She has a nice little ravioli beard :)

Selah has always been one to decorate herself when eating...this was taken at a friends house when she was about 10 months old...some things never change :)

Had to throw in this picture.....Eddie and I thought Selah kind of looked like a chicken after she pulled the bow out of her hair!

Evening at the park

She's really got this smiling thing down pat! :)

Since it was such a beautiful day, Eddie, Selah, and I decided to head for a nearby park after Eddie got off from work. It's such a great park...in fact, the toddlers have their own part which is called the "Tot Lot!" How cute is that!
Ok...once again we have a few pictures for your viewing pleasure!

Busy day...

Today Selah and I were pretty busy hanging out with some of our favorite people.
This morning my friend Erica and her little boy Bryson came over for awhile....as you'll be able to tell by these pictures, Bryson and Selah had a lot of fun.

Check out this room.....they destroyed it...what toddlers do best :)

She is a little ham!!

Selah's friend Bryson...isn't he adorable?!

Selah and Bryson were giving each other a hug....after I shot this picture they both fell over.....it was hilarious!

Tonight we had our friends Casey and Aaron and their kids over.....we had a lot of fun eating breakfast together......that's one of mine and Eddie's favorite dinners....pancakes, bacon, and eggs are great anytime of the day in our opinion! :)

Cynthia and me....Cynthia is Iliana's sister and she's a lot of fun

Ok...one last pic...I couldn't resist...

Ok....I know I'm biased but she has to be the cutest little girl in the world!!!

We're Back!!!

Does she look excited or what?! :)

Ok, so we are FINALLY back! To say that I've been going through Internet withdrawal is an understatment!! We are so thankful that we now have Internet at our house....thank you wonderful people who gave it to us as our Christmas present (you know who you are :)!!!!

I believe June was the last time I posted, and in six months, there have been a lot of changes! Selah is now walking....running more like it.....talking like crazy, feeding herself and actually getting more inside of her now then on her :) She is so much fun, and I'm really enjoying being a stay-at-home mom.

Here's a few pictures from today (although the one at the top is my absolute favorite!)....

Selah and her friend Iliana having a tea party....too cute!

They are excited!

I asked Selah to smile for the camera, so she definitely did!

Selah loves taking a bath...tonight was no exception

Internet is down...boo!

Hey guys....sorry I haven't up-dated in awhile, but our Internet at home has been on the blink and I'm not sure when (or if) it will be returning. Hopefully it will soon, because I'm going through blogging withdrawal...if there is such a thing....can anyone else relate? :) Honestly...it's driving me crazy that I can't post new pics....I'm on a computer where I can't download anything so no help there. Anyway to you faithful readers...we will be back soon...I'm just not quite sure when. Keep checking back...

Learning to walk

It's unbelievable how close Selah is to walking....a year ago Eddie and I were just getting ready to welcome "Baby Smith" into the world....wow, time has flown. Selah loves to walk around as long as she's holding on to something or someone. In the pics I'm posting she's playing with a little car that Eddie and I got her for an early birthday present...she didn't have anything like this before, so we decided to go ahead and give it to her. Anyway...she won't really understand the whole birthday thing this year anyhow... So...she has been walking so much more since she got this new toy....we'll definitely have to look for more like it in the future...she absolutely loves it, and she's a lot more confident in standing and pushing it around. Now we just wait for her to take her first steps by herself.....she'll do it when she's ready...and mom and dad will enjoy a few more days of her crawling. I've been told that once she walks, it's all over....life WILL change! :)

Four Incredible Years!!!

I'm sorry that I haven't posted in over a week, but Eddie, Selah, and I were in NC for a few days....Selah stayed with her grandma and grandpa while Eddie and I celebrated our anniversary....we all had a great time!

Eddie and I decided that we wanted to celebrate by going to Carowinds for a day.....I (MM) hadn't been able to ride the roller coasters in a LONG time, and I was more than ready to get back on them! Eddie and I had a great time......Top Gun is definitely my favorite although Eddie said that the Borg is the best....we decided that Drop Zone plays a close second! After Carowinds we made our way to the Cheesecake Factory....for those who know us best you know that that is our all-time favorite place in the world! We had been saving a gift card for a long time from some great friends of ours (you know who you are....Thank you SOOO much!) and decided to use it for our anniversary. The food was amazing as always...and of course we had to have cheesecake at the end. It seems wrong to go there and NOT have cheesecake..you know what I mean?! :) Anyway....we stayed downtown and the next morning I tried to sleep-in...notice I said "tried." After 11 months of getting up early with Selah, I think my body had forgotten how to sleep past 8.....has anyone else discovered this by chance? :) Eddie and I had a great time, but we were super glad to pick Selah back up....she was definitely missed although she had a SUPER time hanging out with my mom, dad, and sister.....thank you guys so much for keeping her.....we know she was spoiled a ton! :)

I also want to add that I am so thankful for such an incredible husband......I love and respect him sooo much, and he continually sharpens me in my relationship with Christ....the last four years have been wonderful, and I'm so glad that I get to spend life with him!!! Thank you Eddie for being the best!!! I love you SOOOOOOOO much!

Ok....so here's some pictures for those who have been waiting quite awhile....

This was taken the night we got to NC....Selah is showing off her jammies to all of us

Eddie took this pic right before he and I left Selah.......she was so content to swing with her grandma

Eddie and I had just seen a Three-D film at Carowinds...the glasses give that away for sure!

Eddie and I at the Cheesecake Factory.....it was SOOO good!

This is right after we picked Selah back up.......her GG (great-grandmother) is putting her to sleep

Selah's Nana and Pop-Pop kept our dogs for us, so we got to stop by and visit them....this is Selah's Pop-Pop introducing her to the world of mechanics :)

Selah was exhausted after being spoiled by lots of family...she was ready to sleep all the way home.....the giraffe that she's holding is what she sleeps with every night...so cute!

Picture day....

Yesterday was a day where we all took LOTS of pictures! Eddie, Selah, and I took Chasity to some of our favorite places including On the Border and Reedy River. The day was beautiful and we found some incredible spots to take pictures....I've posted quite a few but there are so many more to see....it was hard to choose, but here's a glimpse of our day.

Happy Birthday Chasity!

Chasity turned 19 yesterday! She is a teen from mine and Eddie's youth group in Thomasville, NC who came to visit us for the week-end. I made a cake and we celebrated her birthday last night....it was a lot of fun!

35 Years!!!

On May 22 my parents celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary!!! I sooo wish they were the party type, but they'd rather not have a lot of attention on them, so they just enjoyed a nice quiet celebration, although I and my sister would have been more than willing to throw a big bash for them!!! :) I guess after 35 years though they definitely know what each other likes and dislikes, so I'm glad they celebrated the way they preferred!

I'm so glad God blessed me with you two as parents...I couldn't have asked for better!!! You both are amazing people, and I'm so proud of you........I can't wait 'til Eddie and I are all the way to 35 years although he said that was nothing...he plans on us being married for 80!! I think you guys should shoot for that as well :)

Cruising down the hall

Selah Smith was last seen cruising down the hall sporting some very fashionable sunglasses......

Uncle Johnny, Aunt Shirley, and Julie

Eddie had to work all day on Saturday, so Selah and I decided a little roadtrip was in order. We drove up to Asheville and visited my mom's sister and her family. Selah had the best time interacting with her aunt, uncle, and cousin and she learned a few things while she was there as well...for example...check out the picture of Uncle Johnny teaching her how to churn the butter....she loved it! :)

Selah with her cousin Julie

Love this pic....precious!

Aunt Shirley holding Selah...check out Aunt Shirley's flowers in the background...that's just a tiny portion of them...can we say she has a green thumb for sure?!

Uncle Johnny and Selah churning the butter....Selah thought it was the greatest thing!

And of course we can't forget their little dog Shadow

Date night!

Eddie and I had date night Friday night, and it was wonderful!

After dropping Selah off at the most wonderful baby-sitting family in the world (you know who you are :), we headed to Greenville. We went to Falls Park where we found the Reedy River Bridge, some amazing shops and restaurants, and the fun atmosphere of nightlife in Greenville. I hated I couldn't get any good pics of the bridge, but just believe me when I say it was amazing and beautiful (it overlooks a waterfall). We ate at a restaurant called Mellow Mushroom....it was definitely better then it sounds! We ended the night with Starbuck's....you can't ever go wrong with that!!

No explanation needed on this one...

I (MM) tried to get a good pic of part of the bridge, but no success

Eddie found a friend :)

An afternnoon with Selah, Illianna, and Cynthia

Selah and I had the opportunity to spend another day with Illianna and Cynthia while their mom went to work for the afternoon. They are absolutely adorable kids....I know I've said that before, but it stands repeating! :) We all had a great time as you'll be able to see from these pics.

Love this pic....Illianna eating a popsicle

I like this pic....to me it tells a story...

First time swimming

Selah went swimming for the first time yesterday, and she loved it! We went over to our friends Brian and Jennifer Hoover's apartment where we got to hang out with Jennifer and her son Colten. They loved watching Selah's first swim! Once she got used to the water she started kicking her legs as hard as she could...it was so much fun! Selah didn't cry at all even when mommy accidently got her face in the water :( It was a great day!

Ready to go

Some cute random pics of Selah

I've been working with Selah on saying how old she is....I think by the time she's one she'll definitely have the hang of this!

Our little "plumber butt" is about to take a bath :)

She found the candle again...

Our little "Pebbles"

Birds nest!

I wrote about my three new ferns several weeks ago...well they are doing good except for the fact that I'm having a hard time watering them. A couple of weeks ago while I was watering one of the ferns I found a birds nest inside. I could tell that it had already been abandoned, so I removed it and hung it back up. Today I went out and took all three ferns down to water them again and this time I found birds nest inside of two of them! One has three eggs in it, and the other looks like it's already served its purpose because there are no eggs in it...just a bunch of white stuff that looks like cotton. I don't want to disturb the nest with the eggs in it, because I'm afraid the mama bird won't come back if I do...so not much water for that fern today. Anyway not only are my ferns providing some nice senary at our house, but they are also providing a home for baby birds...cute, huh?

Selah's favorite toys

It's been so much fun to watch Selah's personality emerge a little more every day....we're finding out certain things she likes and certain things she definitely does not like for example having her diaper changed....that's the one time she will usually pitch a fit...so, I should not be surprised that the three things that Selah likes to play with the most are not in her toybox in her bedroom but rather things she's discovered lying around....here's some pictures to let you see her favorite "toys."

Selah LOVES the coaster set....she gets sooo excited!

She puts the coaster set on the floor and then takes them out one by one

Another of her favorites is the little candle that she's put on top of one of the coasters....in this picture she is crawling around pushing the coaster and the candle

Selah loves magnets...I used to have all kinds of pics and magnets down at the bottom...once I realized this was something she wanted to play with I removed all the pics and mommy's magnets from the bottom and got Selah her own baby magnets...this is a wonderful distraction for when I'm trying to make dinner!

Another pic of her hanging out at the fridge :)

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Mom and me....this is one of my all-time favorite pics!

Grandma, Melissa, Me, and Mom

Today has been such a great day, because it's been my first mother's day...well my first mother's day that Selah is actually here and not in my belly! I am so honored that God has given me the opportunity to be Selah's mother....what an awesome responsibility that I do not take for granted at all!!!

I've always said that if I could be like anybody in this world, it would be my own mom. I guess everyone thinks of their mom as the best, and I definitely fall into that category...my mom in my opinion is "the best!" She has sacrificed in so many countless ways for my sister and I, and "thank you" doesn't even come close to expressing my gratitude to her. I think my greatest appreciation of my mom is her prayers....I didn't use to think that, but as I've grown in my relationship with Christ, I've realized how powerful and incredible prayer is and my mom is and always has been a prayer warrior!!! I'm so thankful that I've been raised in a home where my parents have taught me about having a real relationship with God. My mom stayed home with my sister and I when we were little, and now that I'm in that same position, I realize what a blessing and sacrifice that was for my parents! My mom is such an amazing person and I love her so much.....thank you mom for who you are and what you mean to me.....I'm crazy about you! :)

Melissa, Mom, and Me (Mother's Day '06)

Mom and Selah :)

Happy Mother's Day to all moms, because every mom is an incredible blessing from God!

There's no place like home!

We are back home and definitely glad to be back! Visiting NC is ALWAYS a WONDERFUL joy but it's nice to sleep in your own bed again and not have to live out of a suitcase....

Eddie's mom Tamie got to come back to SC on Wednesday with us for a visit, and we have loved having her! The last few days have been busy showing Tamie our world in SC.....she just left this afternoon and we were sad to see her go, but we know she'll be back!!! :)

So sorry for the delay in posting lately, but it's been busy, busy, busy.

Selah and her Nana :)

Selah is a daddy's girl for sure!!!

Mommy has discovered bows...not sure whether Selah is crazy about that or not :)

Time to go home....

Spoiled rotten by the Pulliams!

One thing I love about having Selah is watching my parents and sister interact with her....it just gives me so much joy to watch as she connects with them!! As Selah is getting older she is becoming more aware of her surroundings and of the people around her that love to spoil her rotten! :) Here's some pictures of Selah being spoiled by the Pulliams!

Avalon in concert

While we were in NC, my sister and I were able to go to an Avalon concert. This definitely was wonderful because we used to go to concerts together all the time, and it was so good to be able to hang out like that once again! Avalon was wonderful...of course....and we even got to meet up with George and Hope Hucks who sat beside us......George even got to play doctor while we were there when they asked from stage if there was a doctor in the house because someone in the audience needed assistance......Dr. Hucks....definitely going to make a fantastic doctor!!

Colds are of the devil!

We had planned a busy day for today, but since Selah woke up in the middle of the night with a bad cold, we cancelled most of our plans in order just to hang out with her at home. So...definitely pray that she will be over this cold very quickly....we just can't figure out how she keeps picking up all this stuff...poor baby!

Emily and Selah

Selah was excited to spend the day with her buddy Emily Hucks

Emily is George and Hope Hucks little girl who is 13 months old. Hope and I (MM) were roommates all four years in college, and we have remained close friends since then. It just so happened that Hope and I got married within two months of each other and we had our little girls within two months of each other...it's been a lot of fun to go through these major life events together.

Today was spent with Hope and I hanging out and enjoying watching Selah and Emily play together. We even got to fit in a walk around Hope's neighborhood. Thankfully George, Hope's husband, was home by this time and he so willingly pushed the huge double stroller and Hope and I so willingly let him :)
